Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about privacy, technology, and tool operations

How can you process PDF and image files without a server?

Modern web browsers are capable operating environments equipped with WebAssembly (Wasm), HTML5 Canvas, and advanced JavaScript runtime engines. ToolSphere uses client-side WebAssembly and JavaScript libraries (such as PDF-lib) to parse, compile, and manipulate binary data directly inside your computer’s RAM memory.

Are my uploaded files ever stored or transmitted across the web?

No. ToolSphere has zero backend servers, zero databases, and zero serverless Workers. When you drag and drop a file, it stays strictly within your browser sandbox. No file data is transmitted over any network.

Is there a limit on file size?

Because processing occurs in your browser memory, file capacity depends on your device’s available RAM. For optimal responsiveness, we recommend files under 100MB for PDFs and under 50MB for images.

Do I need to create an account or sign in?

No. All 159+ tools are completely free and available immediately without any account creation, login, or subscriptions.

How does the search bar work?

Our search engine searches directly through our static tool registry in client memory. It supports fuzzy matching across tool names, categories, descriptions, and keywords with zero server roundtrips.

How are my favorites and recent tools saved?

Favorites and recently used tools are stored in your browser’s localStorage. This information resides purely on your own device and can be cleared at any time.

Can I use ToolSphere while offline?

Once a tool page has loaded into your browser, many computational and transformation tools can continue functioning even if your internet connection disconnects.
